Browne Jacobson advises Brady Solicitors in securing growth capital
UK and Ireland law firm Browne Jacobson has advised Brady Solicitors, a leading specialist property management law firm, on its investment from LDC, part of Lloyds Banking Group.
Headquartered in Nottingham with an office in London, Brady Solicitors provides specialist, tailored legal services to the property management industry. The firm works with managing agents, resident management companies, leaseholders and freeholders across the UK, helping clients manage complex legal requirements, resolve issues efficiently and raise standards across the residential property sector.
The investment will support Brady Solicitors’ growth strategy. The firm plans to continue investing in its people, market-leading services and technology-enabled platform, alongside targeted acquisitions that broaden its reach and strengthen its specialist proposition.
The Browne Jacobson team was led by Corporate Partners Sam Sharp and Gavin Cummings, and supported by Associate Lydia Mills, Partner Craig Thomas on tax and Partner Helen Simm on regulatory matters.
Sam Sharp said: "We are delighted to have brought together our private equity and professional services expertise to support the management team in securing this investment and in building on the impressive business they have developed.
“Property management is a sector in genuine transition. Regulatory reform is raising the bar for everyone operating in the market, and specialist legal advice has never been more important. Brady Solicitors has exactly the expertise, relationships and platform to meet that demand at scale. We were delighted to support Clare and the team in securing the right partner to take the firm forward."
Recent deals by the firm include advising Aliter Capital’s legal services portfolio company Orwins during its investment in Clarkslegal, the Reading-based commercial law firm. The team also advised Hawkswell Kilvington on its transaction with Beyond Law Group, the Manchester-based legal services group backed by Waterland Private Equity.
The firm was recently ranked in the top three UK law firms for M&A deal count by market analytics specialist Mergermarket. This follows further recognition for the firm's dealmaking credentials, winning awards including the National Legal Team award and Large Deal of the Year at The Business Desk’s West Midlands Rainmaker Awards.
