Browne Jacobson M&A and PE Partner Sandra Wong named in The Lawyer Hot 100

04 February 2026

Sandra Wong, Corporate M&A and Private Equity Partner at Browne Jacobson, has been recognised in The Lawyer Hot 100, the prestigious annual list of legal professionals who are making a significant difference to the sector and their clients.

Sandra was recognised for her impact on Browne Jacobson's private equity growth in London and across key European jurisdictions. She led market-defining transactions in the past year, including advising Modella Capital on its acquisition of WH Smith’s high street division. Her recognition also reflects her role in driving Browne Jacobson's international expansion, doubling the private equity team’s size and revenue in just 18 months since her relocation from Nottingham.

She said: "It is an honour to be named in The Lawyer Hot 100. This recognition reflects the incredible support I've received from colleagues across the firm, the backing from our ambitious clients, and our shared ambition to establish Browne Jacobson as a true national powerhouse with an extensive international reach. When I relocated to London, I knew we had an opportunity to compete at the highest level, and the promising results we’ve managed to achieve so far speak for themselves.

"Whether we're advising on transformational acquisitions that breathe new life into iconic brands or navigating complex cross-border transactions that connect UK businesses with global capital, our work demonstrates what we are building here that is so special, a firm that is known internally and internationally as a high-quality and entrepreneurial whilst steadfastly maintaining our collegiate culture.

"I'm passionate about our vision to establish Browne Jacobson as the adviser of choice for private equity sponsors and ambitious corporates undertaking their strategic moves. By extending our international networks and deepening our sector expertise, we're creating opportunities for our clients that unlock genuine value."

Sandra trained and built her career at Browne Jacobson and, when the firm made the strategic decision to build out its corporate offer in London, moved to London to drive the firm’s expansion in the capital.

Beyond client work, Sandra serves as a board member of Browne Jacobson's international group, driving global expansion strategy and developing sophisticated networks across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Her international business development initiatives generate weekly instructions, including high-value and exciting cross-border transactions such as advising a French PE backed education specialist group on its significant acquisition of a UK PE backed business in the education sector.

Sandra's commitment to advancing the profession includes co-founding the "Empower Her" series, alongside Clare Hanna, another prominent Browne Jacobson corporate partner – a national initiative featuring roundtables with senior female leaders to gather insights and develop solutions to challenges facing women in business. She also serves as an executive member of AIJA (the International Association of Young Lawyers) and is a sought-after speaker at international conferences, positioning Browne Jacobson as an authoritative voice in the evolving M&A and private equity landscape.

Sandra's individual achievements include being ranked in Chambers UK 2025 and winning Dealmaker of the Year at the Insider East Midlands Dealmakers Awards 2023. Her leadership has also contributed to the firm's recognition, including winning National Firm of the Year at the Chambers UK Awards 2025 and Regional Firm of the Year at Real Deals Private Equity Awards in 2021 and 2023.
