Browne Jacobson today announces its commitment to relocate its Nottingham office to Archers Wharf, 4 Canal Street – securing a flagship Grade A city centre home that reflects the firm's ambition, its long heritage in the East Midlands and its continued investment in creating exceptional working environments for its people across the UK and Ireland. 

The UK and Ireland law firm will occupy three floors of Archers Wharf, providing 46,352 sq ft of contemporary workspace with 350 desks, representing a significant and purposeful long-term commitment to the city and region.  

Archers Wharf, formerly known as Parexel House, fronts Canal Street in Nottingham city centre. Having signed an agreement for lease with landlord Castle Wharf Ltd, a bespoke fit-out will soon commence.  

This will provide Browne Jacobson with a rare opportunity to create a workspace that is consistent in look, feel and quality with its other offices across the UK and Ireland when it relocates from its current Nottingham home at Mowbray House in early 2028. 

The new office has been shaped directly by the firm's people. Feedback gathered through colleague surveys and focus groups informed the design at every level, resulting in plans for dedicated quiet zones for focused working, a wellbeing room, a greater variety of collaborative spaces and pods for private calls, breakout areas and modern amenity provision throughout. The result is a workspace designed to accommodate the way colleagues work today and to enhance their everyday experience. 

Sustainability principles will be embedded into the office design and operations, building on the firm’s existing carbon reduction strategy. Its location near Nottingham railway station, as well as bus and tram routes, offers easy access to public transport, while active travel facilities will be available for commuters. 

Browne Jacobson reported record revenue of £148.8m for the 2025/26 financial year, up 9% on the previous 12 months, driven by growth across all its core sectors. The Nottingham relocation forms part of a broader and sustained programme of investment across the firm's network, as the business continues to scale its capabilities, its talent base and its physical presence in the cities and regions where it operates across the UK and Ireland.

The firm remains committed to ensuring Mowbray House continues to be a great place to work for the remaining period of its lease, with ongoing investment to maintain the environment and office culture that colleagues value. 

The Nottingham move is the latest in a series of major investments across the Browne Jacobson network. The firm has invested in an enterprise-wide licence of Legora, a leading legal AI tool, for all staff. 

Its Cardiff office recently relocated to new premises at One Central Square following substantial growth in the region, and the firm doubled its Manchester office space at No. 1 Spinningfields.  

In May 2026, the firm also completed its strategic expansion across the island of Ireland with the acquisition of Davidson McDonnell, a £5.5m Belfast-based business, which joined Browne Jacobson as Browne Jacobson Northern Ireland. This marked a significant milestone in the firm's growth journey, strengthening its ability to support clients operating across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, the wider UK market and ambitious global businesses.
