Browne Jacobson advises Camfaud Group on its strategic acquisition of Templant Hire

02 April 2026

UK and Ireland law firm Browne Jacobson’s corporate team has successfully advised Camfaud Group, the UK’s largest concrete pumping specialist and part of Nasdaq-listed Concrete Pumping Holdings, Inc, on its strategic acquisition of Templant Hire, an established provider of temporary power solutions headquartered in Essex.

Concrete Pumping Holdings is the leading provider of concrete pumping services and concrete waste management services in the US and UK markets, primarily operating under the brand Brundage-Bone for concrete pumping in the US, and Camfaud in the UK, and Eco-Pan for waste management services in both the US and UK. In the UK and Ireland, Camfaud offers concrete pumping services from 35 branch locations.

The strategic acquisition of Templant Hire marks Camfaud’s entry into the adjacent UK temporary power market and sees it establish a strong foothold in a move that will augment the Group’s ability to support its customers across the construction and infrastructure sectors. It was led from the UK by Camfaud’s Group Financial Director, Richard Crilly, working closely with sell-side stakeholders and Browne Jacobson, supported by the Group’s UK and US management teams. It is the Group’s second acquisition in the past six months, reflecting the continued execution of its strategy to build a diversified, multi-service platform.

Templant is a well-established provider of temporary power solutions with more than 250 generators ranging from 20 kVA to 1250 kVA, and a strong reputation for service and customer-led operations. In addition to its core generator fleet, Templant offers a range of complementary service lines across temporary power and site infrastructure, including distribution equipment, cabling, fuel management, and on-site support services, positioning it as a broader solutions provider to customers. Templant will continue to operate under the leadership of Chris Allen and Zoe Allen, supported by the wider team, ensuring continuity for customers and operations.

The Browne Jacobson team was led by corporate partner Matt Bolton and associate Ffion Stuckey. They were supported by a multi-disciplinary team across the firm which included corporate partner Christian Farrow, employment legal director Maz Dannourah, tax principal associate Rebecca Burge and a multi-disciplinary team of specialist lawyers from across the firm.

Matt Bolton commented: “We’re proud to have supported Camfaud on this strategic acquisition as it enters the fragmented UK temporary power market. Templant's established market position and broad service capability make it an ideal platform for growth as Camfaud continues to strengthen and diversify its leading platform.”

Tony Faud, Managing Director, U.K. Camfaud Group added: "We are delighted to be partnering with Templant as we continue to grow our market-leading, diversified services platform. This acquisition enhances our ability to support customers with a broader range of solutions, while maintaining the high service standards associated with Camfaud."

Richard Crilly, Group Financial Director at Camfaud, commented: "The Browne Jacobson team led by Matt Bolton provided pragmatic, commercially focused advice throughout this transaction. Their understanding of our sector, combined with a straightforward and collaborative approach, made them an excellent partner in helping us execute this strategically important acquisition, which is our second in the past six months and augments our strategy to build a diversified, multi-service platform."

The transaction is Browne Jacobson’s latest energy and infrastructure M&A deal, with other recent successes including advising leading global provider of testing, inspection, certification and compliance services Phenna Group on numerous deals including most recently its acquisition of Dublin-based MEP engineering consultancy ENX, and advising the shareholder of Transvac Systems, a UK-based global supplier of ejector solutions and sustainable process technologies, on its acquisition by New York Stock Exchange-listed Ingersoll Rand Inc.
