Evidencing compliance and how to get it right

20 January 2021

Time and resource have never been more precious in the education sector. We know the legal and regulatory impact of Covid-19 on the school community makes it more important than ever for school leaders to comply.

At any time OFSTED, the ICO and the HSE can request evidence from you that demonstrates that you are adhering to your statutory obligations. Even without the added risks of Covid-19, getting large groups together for meaningful training is tricky and therefore, schools and academies often find themselves unable to evidence the outcomes of staff training and therefore, are putting themselves at risk. Can you do it? Can you evidence more than staff attendance? Can you demonstrate that the training was sourced from the right specialist? Can you demonstrate that the participants actively engaged with the learning process and, most importantly, can you show that your staff understood the training provided, have retained the information and are applying it to their everyday practices?

In this training video we:

  • Set out the expectations of the regulatory bodies
  • Discussed different methods that can be used to evidence training outcomes
  • Demonstrated how you can evidence your on-going duties to keep staff informed throughout the year
  • Discussed the benefits of online compliance training
