ESG and sustainability: Rethinking communications and credibility

10 June 2025
Browne Jacobson, London

Join Browne Jacobson and the University of Nottingham to launch the research report, 'ESG and Sustainability: Rethinking Communications and Credibility'.

How can fast-moving organisations address competing forces to achieve their objectives on sustainability? Where do organisations stand relative to their customers, investors or stakeholders, as well as peers or competitors? What language should organisations use internally and externally to address ESG more effectively?

At this event, we will provide answers to these questions and discuss how to navigate current challenges to bring more effective sustainability and diversity to organisations, including via operating and governance models. We will present findings of our 2024-2025 research, where Browne Jacobson have supported a national survey, run by run by Professor Louise Mullany and Dr Victoria Howard at the University of Nottingham, into organisational approaches to sustainability and diversity.  The findings include insights from across the UK economy, including education, energy, financial services, health, IT, logistics, manufacturing and professional services.

We will focus on:

  • How organisations across the UK communicate internally and externally about their impact on society and the environment and how they pursue good governance.
  • Organisations’ priorities for the next few years in the light of current and forthcoming laws and regulations, and ever-changing political and cultural developments.
  • Methodologies for success in pursuing sustainability strategies, including trends and changes in the language used to discuss ESG, and key sources for obtaining and sharing information and advice.

Breakfast, tea and coffee will be provided from 8.30am.
