"It’s easy to sound like a broken record when the message around SEND funding is played on repeat. However, the issue is not going away. Most schools want to do all they can to support pupils with special educational needs, but they need the support and resource to do so."
Our SEND support pack for schools provides comprehensive EHCP templates and resources to help you navigate the Education, Health and Care Plan process efficiently.
Many schools don't have the capacity to cope with the scale of specialist support required, with limited funding and a lack of special school places.
While there's no easy, overnight solution to these issues, we can help. Our SEND support pack for schools offers resources and templates to use throughout the EHCP process and beyond, helping ensure that legal obligations are met within their respective timescales.
Using these resources and putting these policies in place will help you handle the process efficiently and reassure parents of pupils with SEND that you're doing everything you can to support them and their child to get the support they need.

Children's commissioner recommendations for SEND reform
The Children’s Commissioner, Rachel De Souza, has recently published a report “Beyond the labels: a SEND system which works for every child, every time”, which she intends to sit alongside the DfE’s SEND Review (2019) and SEND Green Paper (2022) and which she hopes will put children’s voices at the heart of the government’s review of SEND system.
