Covid, intellectual property and the Crown
Universities across the nation have been working valiantly to produce a vaccine for Covid-19, in addition to working tirelessly on new testing options. Celebrating 150 years of state education
This year marks the 150th anniversary of the signing of the first Education Act – a defining moment in our state education system. To mark the occasion, last month we were delighted to host two unique broadcasts in partnership with the Foundation for Education Development. The virtual events saw guest speakers including the Rt Hon. Gavin Williamson – Secretary of State for Education, Lord Karan Bilimoria – President of the CBI, Sir Michael Barber and 12 former Secretaries of State for Education, amongst others, come together to celebrate the achievements of our education system, reflect on its history, and envision a long-term plan for its future.
Available to watch on-demand, join us and leaders from across the education, business, politics and community landscapes to mark this significant moment in time:

Good governance essential to avoid falling foul of the ESFA
There’s been little evidence of interventions or financial management reviews this year and it appears the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) has re-focussed on financial delivery. It’s also telling that there were no discernible changes to the reporting of financial irregularities in the Academies Trust Handbook 2022.

Children's commissioner recommendations for SEND reform
