UK and Ireland law firm Browne Jacobson has successfully supported OakNorth Bank's North West Debt Finance team in facilitating AMS Group's acquisition of Chadwicks, one of the largest regional charter accountancy firms in the North West.
With over 40 years of experience, Chadwicks has served more than 2,500 clients with a team of 60 professionals across three offices. This strategic acquisition is a significant milestone for financial services firm AMS Group, as it seeks to provide comprehensive advisory services to the mid-market.
The acquisition highlights OakNorth's commitment to enabling high-quality, ambitious management teams to achieve growth. By providing the necessary funding to AMS Group, OakNorth has not only facilitated the acquisition of Chadwicks but also paved the way for future expansions.
Browne Jacobson's banking and finance team included partner Graham Ball and associate Beth Nixon, with corporate support from partner Peter Allen and trainee Alex O'Donoughue.
Graham Ball, Partner at Browne Jacobson, said: “We’re so pleased to have supported the OakNorth team in facilitating this landmark acquisition for AMS group. The FS industry is one which our firm knows well, and at this time of consolidation, we’re delighted to have played our part in supporting the sector’s key players.”
Sean McCormick, Associate Director of Debt Finance at OakNorth Bank, said: “With the UK’s accounting and audit market set for significant growth in the future, AMS Group is in a perfect position to capitalise on this tailwind via its exciting and already highly successful ‘buy and build’ strategy. We’d also like to thank Graham and the Browne Jacobson team for their fantastic support on facilitating this transaction – they have a real understanding of our market and where opportunities arise, so their support has been invaluable.”
