Nav Nijjar

Nav is an associate in our health and advisory litigation department. Nav is a member of our obstetric division and represents NHS trusts in claims relating to obstetric injuries. Nav has been working with us since January 2020 having acquired seven years’ clinical negligence experience as a claimant representative.  

Nav started her professional career representing claimants in road traffic accidents. Following her interest in medical negligence, in December 2012, she progressed her legal career to represent claimants pursuing clinical negligence claims. After seven years working in this field, Nav diversified into representing NHS trusts and has been working with Browne Jacobson since January 2020. For the last two years, Nav has been specialising in a variety if obstetric claims consisting of injuries to the mother and/or child.  

Nav prides herself in working towards obtaining a fair resolution through an empathetic approach remembering each claim involves an injured party. She is proactive in her approach and develops effective relationships with her opponents to progress matters whilst maintaining her clients’ best interests.
