Alex is currently working in the technical claims team as part of the insurance and public risk department. Alex assists on a range of complex and technical claims, relating to insurance, health, personal injury, fraud and cyber. Alex has worked in the construction team, dealing with large scale energy infrastructure projects, local authority, and education developments, as well as construction disputes/litigation.
While working in construction, he drafted suites of contracts for local authorities looking to procure construction services, with a total value of £5m. Alex continues to support leading construction lawyers on their role in nuclear energy infrastructure projects, providing both legal and commercial advice.
Technical claims span a variety of sectors and encompasses a range of litigation-based work. Alex has supported senior lawyers at settlement negotiations, attended trials and provided advice to clients.
Alex has previously worked in insurance law, as an insurance recoveries paralegal specialising in subrogated recovery action for a large insurer client. Alex’s background is in investment banking, where he worked with various stakeholders to manage investments at a large bank. Alex brings a wide range of knowledge and experience to the table.
The climate emergency has reached a point where real and substantial damage is being caused to both the planet and society. There has been a shift from planning and theorising the most effective solutions, to a phase where practical, efficient, and sustainable solutions are required at speed.
