7 March 2019

Browne Jacobson’s corporate finance team advised the shareholders of Delamin Nitriding Salts Limited (DNS) on the sale of the business to Parker Trutec Inc, the North American subsidiary of Tokyo based Nihon Parkerizing Co. Ltd.

Corporate finance lawyers Paul McCannah and Rachael Russell advised the shareholders.

Derby based DNS manufactures and distributes chemicals for the Salt Bath Nitriding industry. Salt bath nitriding is an industrial case hardening process to resist wear and corrosion in metallic products.

The company operates from six sites across the United States and Mexico.

Nick Dodes, managing director and principal shareholder of Delamin Nitriding Salts, said:

“We strongly believe that Parker Trutec‘s track record and extensive network will be invaluable in securing the long term growth of the business.

“We really appreciate Paul and Rachael’s expertise and guidance which was critical to the success of the transaction, ensuring the legal process to completion ran as smoothly as possible.”

Paul McCannah, corporate finance associate at Browne Jacobson in Nottingham, added:

“We are delighted to have advised Nick and his team on this transaction which paves the way for DNS to consolidate its market leading position under Parker Trutec’s ownership.”
