Returning to work after the Covid-19 lockdown creates a series of different employment law challenges for employers. With new guidance in place to manage bringing employees back to the workplace safely, you will need to consider how you can protect both your business and your people.

The Back to Business: Employer Toolkit is a suite of documents and guides that will support you through the process every step of the way. We have created a fixed fee support package that will support you in preparation for a return to work, during the process and as you manage critical issues after the return to work.

In preparation for a return to work and during the return to work we can offer: Covid-19 and Homeworking policies and a Checklist regarding potential legal issues relating to employees.

To manage the process after the return to work we can offer a pack of standard (non collective) redundancy letters, redundancy flowchart and return from furlough letter

The Back to Business: Employer Toolkit will provide you with the tools you need to help get your business back on its feet.

How it works

Stage 1

If you would like to utilise the Back to Business: Employer Toolkit we will provide access to the suite of bespoke documents comprising the following:

  • Redundancy letters (x6)
  • Redundancy flowchart
  • Covid-19 Policy
  • Covid-9 Homeworking Policy
  • Checklist to help manage employees reluctant to return to work due to Covid-19
  • Return from Furlough Letter

Stage 2

We will provide you with a proposal setting out our suggested scope of work, the team of lawyers who you will be working with and a pricing model which is straightforward and represents excellent value. We will consider your key issues and prioritise the work to be undertaken. When you are happy with our proposed solution, we will formalise what we have agreed in an engagement letter.

Stage 3: we get to work

We would be delighted to have a short telephone or video call to discuss the documents and how best to implement them.


In order to help you prepare your business for the return to work we will prepare a suite of bespoke documents for you to use as part of your toolkit, for a fixed price. Given the unique nature of the recent challenges, it’s especially important to make sure you are getting the best value, and to provide flexibility should your needs change. The documents will address issues such as: social distancing; managing employees reluctant to return; new approaches to flexible working (i.e. staggered start times/working around childcare requirements as schools reopen); and redundancies.
