Laura Roughan-Woodthorpe

A current second seat trainee, Laura came to Browne Jacobson as a career changer and has utilised her extensive experience in healthcare management in the NHS and private sector to excel in her first seat in the healthcare litigation sector. Within the inquest and advisory team, Laura has drafted applications to the Court of Protection, conducted file reviews and drafted initial advice and has attended inquests alongside both associates and in-house counsel. Laura's previous experience has been beneficial in building strong relationships, both with clients and members of the firm. 

Laura is passionate about diversity and inclusion, with particular interest in reducing social and wealth barriers and offers mentoring to others looking to change career to law. 

Currently undertaking her second seat in the financial and professional risk department, Laura is a trusted team player and valuable member of the firm.
