LPS delayed formally confirmed
The government has now confirmed that LPS implementation will not take place in April 2022.
As will come as no great surprise (given the time does not allow consultation, considered responses and implementation) the government has now confirmed that LPS implementation will not take place in April 2022.
We understand that the final consultation document is nearly ready, with an aim to launch “early in the new year,” but of course this is subject to the Omnicron impact.
The consultation is expected to include more detail on design and implementation, albeit interestingly the also announcement states that a target implementation date is unlikely to follow immediately. The Department of Health and Social Care state that they wish to consider the consultation responses in full before setting a further implementation date.
We eagerly await the consultation for greater substance on what the new system will look like and once this does arrive, we will be arranging seminars to discuss the detail. If you do wish to discuss the LPS preparation in advance of this, please get in touch.
