FAIRE: The big one
Join Browne Jacobson on 28 October for FAIRE: The big one – a free online event hosted in collaboration with Young Professionals.
This virtual work experience event is one of the UK's largest, specifically designed to break down socio-economic barriers for aspiring lawyers and boost their career prospects. By focusing on social mobility, FAIRE helps level the playing field and opens doors that might otherwise remain closed.
The programme offers a full day exploring life in law, with workshops, career advice from industry leaders, keynote speeches, and Q&A sessions. It introduces attendees to the range of career paths in the legal profession, whether in-house, at the Bar, or in private practice.
Past speakers have included Baroness Hale of Richmond (former President of the Supreme Court), Chris Daw KC (leading Barrister and Former King’s Counsel), and I. Stephanie Boyce, (former President of the Law Society).

This event is open to everyone, including students, recent graduates, and career changers.

Our mission
At Browne Jacobson, we believe the legal profession should reflect the society it serves. People from lower socio-economic and minority backgrounds remain under-represented in law, and we are committed to changing that.
FAIRE (Fairer Access Into Real Experience) was launched in 2021 to promote social mobility by providing equal access to paid work experience.
At a time when many businesses were unable to offer traditional opportunities due to the pandemic, FAIRE created a virtual platform for aspiring professionals to explore the legal world.
Since then, over 80,000 attendees have benefited from talks, practical guidance and networking with industry leaders.
