Shared Insights special: Fit for the future: 10 Year Health Plan for England

10 July 2025

This Shared Insights session considered the 10 Year Plan and what it means for your organisation in terms of practical next steps.

Gerard Hanratty, Partner and Head of Health and Life Sciences at Browne Jacobson, and Charlotte Harpin, Partner at Browne Jacobson explored each of the three key shifts within the plan for health and care organisations - hospital to community, analogue to digital, and sickness to prevention.

They discussed the ongoing revision of NHS structures and accountability and the strong move within the plan towards neighbourhood-based service delivery.

They explored existing challenges and barriers to change, the future vision set out in the plan and practical considerations in relation to legislative and system frameworks, supplier and workforce considerations and regulatory reform.

James Arrowsmith, Partner and Head of Social Care, also examined what the plan was likely to mean for the future of adult care services and how the three shifts are likely to affect providers of those services now and in the future.
