Get ready for reform: The new Procurement Bill

7 July 2022

This webinar took place on Tuesday 12 July 2022 and is now available on-demand.

The information in this on-demand webinar is correct as of 12/07/2022. To stay up to date with the Procurement Bill amendments or for further advice, visit our webpage.

The new Procurement Bill is here. Whether or not it offers wholesale reform is yet to be determined. As we have already seen, it will need to be amended. But with the committee stage not starting until 4 July we don’t have a settled position yet.

One thing for sure is that change is coming and contracting authorities will need to get their heads around how existing practices will need to change in order to:

  • meet new obligations
  • deliver value for money;
  • maximise public benefit;
  • share information clearly and concisely; and
  • act and be seen to act with integrity.

In this on-demand webinar discusses:

  • the core principles of procurement and the new look regime
  • procedures procuring the ‘most advantageous tender’ (MAT)
  • the new look framework agreement and dynamic purchasing system provisions
  • the selection process - particularly grounds for exclusion and the debarment
  • a focus on transparent and open contracting, including managing contract modifications
  • access to justice - reform of the review system and remedies

This on-demand webinar is suitable for legal and procurement specialists operating within publicly funded contracting authorities. It is also suitable for suppliers to the public and health sector.
