Browne Jacobson named on Government Commercial Agency’s legal panel for public sector
Browne Jacobson has been named as a supplier on Government Commercial Agency’s RM6374 Legal Panel for Public Sector framework, which enables the firm to advise on a wide range of complex legal work for public sector organisations.
The UK and Ireland law firm has been named as a supplier on Lots 1a, 1b, 1c, 2, 3, 4 and 6 of legal panel for public sector*, covering legal specialisms such as litigation, public-private partnerships, infrastructure, property, public procurement, costs, commercial, contracts and employment.
Public sector organisations in sectors including health, education, local and regional government, infrastructure, emergency services and third sector can appoint law firms in GCA’s legal panel for ad-hoc projects.
GCA is the UK’s central commercial and procurement organisation, connecting public and private sectors to achieve the best outcomes for the UK and its citizens. GCA uses its commercial expertise to create a simpler procurement experience that redirects valuable resources into essential public services – creating value for the nation.
It was formed in April 2026 to combine the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) and central commercial teams from the Cabinet Office.
Anja Beriro, Partner in the government team at Browne Jacobson who oversees GCA work, said: “This is an important panel appointment for our firm that reflects our strengths in a wide range of complex legal work across the whole public sector.
“We have deep experience of advising public sector organisations, including local government, health and education organisations, behind the scenes on both ambitious major projects and day-to-day policy advice. We’re excited about getting involved with even more of these opportunities via our continued relationship with GCA.”
This is the latest government panel appointment for Browne Jacobson in recent years. In October 2025, it was appointed to the CCS’s legal panel for government framework, through which it has advised the Department for Transport, and Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
It was also reappointed Welsh Government Commercial Delivery legal services panel in March 2025, having advised the Welsh Government on high-profile projects including the Covid-19 Inquiry; the establishment of Trydan Gwyrdd Cymru, which will support the delivery of a significant pipeline of renewable energy projects; and the development of the £35m Morlais tidal stream renewable energy project, located off the coast of Anglesey.
