Medical negligence and report writing foundation course: Autumn 2025

This course will provide clinicians with the requisite knowledge and skill to become an expert witness in medical negligence claims. Delegates will experience 'bite sized' expert witness learning sessions interspersed with reflection time and Q&A sessions to embed learning.

The session will be led by lawyers, Louise Jeffers, Partner, and Kate Westley, Principal Associate. Both are medical legal specialists and have extensive experience in medico-legal claims.

This course offers a strong foundation in medico-legal practice. You will be guided through the medical negligence process, including the relevant legal tests and expert witness responsibilities. We will utilise template expert reports for review and reflection. Q&A sessions will ensure a personalised learning experience.
