Learning & development

We'll ensure that you receive all the training and development you need:

  • you’ll start with a comprehensive induction programme - which includes a ‘fast track’ professional skills course (PSC) - this aims to prepare you for your training contract plus enable you to make an immediate contribution in your first seat
  • you’ll receive great training and supervision in each seat - you’ll gain ‘hands on experience’ working on your own cases with some of our leading clients whilst receiving the appropriate support and supervision
  • your training will be both practical and structured - alongside the technical training you receive in each seat you also participate in a trainee development programme (TDP) which gives you the relevant soft skills (i.e. presentation skills, negotiating skills) to help you through your career
  • you’ll have three and six month appraisals in each seat - ensuring you receive regular reviews on your progress throughout your training contract
  • qualification and beyond - we want you to stay with us after qualification and can offer you the development you need to move your career to the next level. We’ll provide you with training and you’ll be invited to participate in our mentorship scheme to support you in the transition from trainee to qualified solicitor. We recruit on the basis that you may one day be a partner at the firm; we already have several partners that trained with us.
