08 April 2020

On 27 March the Department for Education (DfE) released new guidance to schools and academy trusts to help keep children safe, including online, during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Gain a comprehensive understanding of your new statutory obligations during our webinar with Browne Jacobson safeguarding expert Dai Durbridge. During the one-hour session Dai will detail how you can ensure safeguarding standards remain high and compliant for the duration of these measures.

In this webinar we will cover:

  • the key amendments introduced by the DfE;
  • how you can disseminate the amends to your staff and test their ongoing understanding;
  • what to do if you do not have designated safeguarding leads on site;
  • how to manage your safeguarding obligations where you have staff from other schools on site; and
  • the importance of amending your single central record.

This 60-minute webinar is free and suitable for individuals within an education setting who have a responsibility for the safeguarding of children and young people.
