Care Focus: Critical incident response - Criminal investigations

10 March 2025

This webinar took place on 10 March 2025 and is now available on-demand.

In the event of a serious accident does your organisation have a plan? Will you and your colleagues be able to manage the scrutiny and intensity of a CQC, or even a police investigation?

Within this webinar we explore how organisations can prepare for such events and put in place systems and processes, which will enable them to best deal with such incidents.

This session outlines the steps an organisation should take after a serious incident to manage the aftermath. This includes the engagement with the police and CQC, and subsequent, requests for information, witness statements, interviews and potentially prosecution.

We address the legal framework which governs the various stages of an investigation, and discuss the practical steps that can be taken now, as well as following any such event, to manage what is inevitably a challenging period for both organisations and individuals.
