A guide to the world’s leading patent professionals and firms has ranked Browne Jacobson as one of the most prominent law firms in the field of patent law and patent litigation.
According to the 2020 guide, which covers various jurisdictions globally and showcases firms and individuals that are considered outstanding across the patent sector, “the future is nothing but bright for Browne Jacobson, a firm noted for its drive, youth and dynamism”.
The latest edition of IAM Patent 1000 also identifies three of its lawyers as leading patent practitioners – Selina Hinchliffe, Mark Daniels and Giles Parsons.
IP transactional partner Selina who heads up the firm’s “well established transactional practice” is “the darling of automotive, aerospace, and energy and utility companies. On the contentious front – where the focus is primarily on electronics and telecommunications – seasoned veteran Mark Daniels leads the charge (and) continues to fight tooth and claw in the UK IP Office (UKIPO), the IP Enterprise Court (IPEC) and the High Court on a regular basis. Meanwhile, software patent expert Giles Parsons is riding high right now, having managed a component of the game-changing Unwired Planet litigation”.
These latest rankings are a further boost for the firm’s commercial practice this year after it was again as one of the world’s leading trade mark experts in the 2020 World Trademark Review (WTR) 1000 rankings. In addition, they have again been named in the Patents and Trade Mark categories in IP Stars 2020 – a guide to the world's leading intellectual property (IP) firms and practitioners.
