UK and Ireland law firm Browne Jacobson has advised RCapital on the sale of Bromford Precision Solutions Limited, a specialist aerospace and defence engineering business, to Sigma Advanced Systems UK, a subsidiary of Megasoft Limited. 

Bromford is a market-leading provider of precision engineering services to major OEMs including Rolls-Royce and Siemens. RCapital acquired the business out of administration in 2023 and, through targeted investment and operational expertise, delivered a significant turnaround. 

The transaction supports the next stage of Bromford’s growth under new ownership and marks RCapital’s fourth successful exit in the aerospace and defence sector in just over 18 months. 

The Browne Jacobson deal team was led by Partner Tom Saunderson and Partner Gavin Cummings, and supported by Senior Associate Robert Northall, Partner Paul Hill, Senior Associate Patrick Berry, and Associate Tyler Isaac.

The transaction is the latest in a series of aerospace and defence mandates on which the firm has advised RCapital, having previously acted on the sale of Nasmyth Group to Sigma Advanced Systems UK, the sale of Surface Technology International, a manufacturer of high-specification electronic solutions for the defence, aerospace and security sectors, to Swedish-listed NOTE AB, and the acquisition of TPG Engineering from AIM-listed TP Group. 

The firm was recently ranked in the top three for deal count by Mergermarket. Recent wins include the National Legal Team award and Large Deal of the Year at the The Business Desk’s Rainmaker Awards, and Legal Adviser of the Year – Deal-making category at the EducationInvestor Awards 2026.
