Kerren has over 20 years’ experience in all aspects of employment law, with particular interest in matters of strategic and organisational importance including restructures, mergers, executive terminations, high profile and sensitive matters, disputes and governance issues. Kerren is recognised as a leading individual in Legal 500. The published feedback was that she has a “fantastic knack of getting to the nub of an issue and then follows it up with clear advice” and is also described by clients as “exceptional”.
Kerren supports the firm’s national Government team and given her expertise, Kerren also advises on highly confidential public sector investigations including the investigations in respect of senior employees and statutory officers’ conduct.

Reorganisations of various public bodies from internal reorganisations, to outsourcing of services to the private sector, all the way to the ceasing of bodies in a public sector reorganisation. This involves advising on the internal and external communications, public and internal consultation (including collective consultation and managing the trade unions) and the processes (often dealing with senior management first) to ensure that everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
Complex arrangements
Advising on complex arrangements between different public bodies (such as joint employment arrangements) with secondments being an option.

Advising on employment models that may trigger the application of TUPE and the employment law and pension protection implications of the proposal(s) and practically how to manage, minimise or avoid risks.
