Dan is a senior associate in our real estate team. Dan largely focuses on the public sector and has been involved in a significant number of public sector investment deals in the last five years, including numerous shopping centre acquisitions with an eye on regeneration for the acquiring local authorities. Dan has also been retained by numerous local authorities to act on the asset management work off the back of those acquisitions and Dan manages and co-ordinates those relationships. 

Dan joined the firm in September 2016 on qualification having trained at a regional firm in Solihull. Dan quickly established himself as a key part of the real estate team in Birmingham and was recently promoted from associate to senior associate in May 2022. 

 

Dan also has a wealth of general real estate experience and has been involved in lots of different aspects of real estate, such as: 

 

  • Acting and assisting on numerous high value acquisitions and sales; 

  • Asset management work for both public and private sector clients; 

  • Corporate support assistance; and 

  • Banking support assistance. 

Dan has also been involved in seminars and training sessions delivered to in house lawyers delivering from both the Birmingham and London Offices. In his free time Dan enjoys walking, running and following the limited success story of Birmingham City FC.

Advised Dalet on acquisition of Flex Media Platform business from Ooyala.

Acquisition of 1 and 42 Kings Hill Avenue

We acted on the acquisition of 1 and 42 Kings Hill Avenue a significant investment acquisition for the client at a value of £23m. We have since been instructed on numerous leasehold management instructions following completion.

Acquisition of Cambourne Business Park

We acted on the split asset and share acquisition of Cambourne Business Park at a value of £6.6m. I have since been instructed to deal with management work on the estate to facilitate the client's development plans.

Acquisition of Friars Shopping Centre

We acted on the acquisition of Friars Square Shopping Centre at a value of £12m. This was an investment acquisition by the client but with a firm eye on regeneration and we have since been instructed to deal with leasehold management instructions following completion.
