Karen Gilhooley

Karen is an Associate in our health advisory and litigation department, based in the Nottingham office. She has recently joined the specialist obstetric division, primarily working with NHS Trusts and NHS Resolution in the management of clinical negligence claims.

Dually qualified in medicine and law, Karen worked as an NHS GP for many years before returning to legal practice, giving her excellent perspective on the current issues facing the NHS and empathy with all those affected by clinical negligence claims. She is committed to a collaborative approach, to resolving issues with empathy and fairness, and to supporting learning to improve future outcomes.
