DPO advanced CPD course, 2026-27 academic year
This advanced DPO CPD course builds on that strong learning platform from the foundation programme and focuses in greater depth on the key issues, supporting you with building your confidence, reducing resource need and limiting or removing the need for external legal spend.
Delivered remotely via Zoom, delegates will experience ‘bite-sized’ two-hour learning sessions interspersed with one-hour reflection and Q&A sessions to embed learning, ensure all your questions are answered and concerns discussed, and provide the opportunity for you to network with fellow DPOs.
The DPO advanced course is led by education lawyer and data protection expert Dai Durbridge, who has extensive experience advising schools and trusts on all things data protection, including complex breaches, subject access requests and cyber attacks.

Running over five months, this course covers:

The course provides nine two-hour learning sessions and three one-hour Q&A sessions for delegates to have their questions answered and issues discussed to ensure a personalised learning experience.
Who should attend?
This course is for experienced DPOs who’s role requires them to focus on complex issues around data breach, cyber risk, subject access requests, AI, and culture change as part of their ongoing data protection training and updating.
Cost
This course costs £825 plus VAT per delegate.
