Browne Jacobson grows inheritance and trust dispute practice with partner hire
UK & Ireland law firm Browne Jacobson has appointed disputes resolution partner Daniel Edwards to its inheritance and trust dispute practice team based in Nottingham.
An experienced litigator, Daniel specialises in all areas of contentious trusts and probate matters. Notable cases have involved :
- Successfully applying for replacement professional personal representatives at a contested hearing.
- Acting for an executor/beneficiary in a complex inheritance Act claim, involving a contentious life tenancy.
- Defending a challenge to a Will based on allegations that witnesses did not sign in the presence of the testator, and fraudulently added their signatures post-death.
- Defending a challenge to a life-time gift of a million pound property.
- Acting for three defendants in a multi-party, multi-million pound Inheritance Act claim issued by the widow (and fourth wife) of the deceased.
Daniel will be joining Browne Jacobson's 12 strong Private Client team who advise clients on wealth and trust structures, landed estates, wills and estate planning, offshore trusts and structures, and contentious trust and estate work and are Tier 1 ranked in the East Midlands by both Chambers & Partners (UK) and Legal 500.
