Richard Edwards-Earl

Rich is an associate in the firm’s commercial law team in London, focusing on data protection. His recent work has included acting in high profile negotiations and advising on international data transfers and data processing agreements.

Rich joined Browne Jacobson in April 2024, having trained and worked for several years at an international US-headquartered firm.

Rich advises clients on drafting and negotiating supply and distribution agreements, data processing and data protection matters, and logistics contracts. He also advises clients on compliance with data privacy, data protection impact and legitimate interest assessments, and artificial intelligence regulation.

Before becoming a solicitor, Rich had a previous career in the film industry, working in visual effects on feature films for American studios. He has taken his film and media experience into law, having advised on various international distribution agreements, establishing film companies and special purpose vehicles, and negotiating service and vendor agreements for film departments.
