Lucy Bowdery

Lucy is a Senior Associate in the Health Litigation team. She joined Browne Jacobson in February 2026 from another Defendant Firm and has significant experience in acting for medical defence organisations, insurers and healthcare clients. She advises on a range of clinical negligence claims against medical professionals including doctors, nurses, dentists and other allied healthcare professionals.

Prior to working at Clyde & Co, Lucy also worked at a number of other Defendant Firms. During these roles Lucy undertook a number of in-house secondments in Legal Services departments at large NHS Trusts in and around London, dealing with their claims and inquests.

Lucy also has experience working on the other side of litigation, having acted for Claimants pursuing Clinical Negligence and other Personal Injury claims. This experience assists her in taking a collaborative and empathetic approach to claims. Having worked in the law for the last decade, Lucy has achieved a number of successful outcomes for her clients. Her recent successes have included a discontinuance one week before Trial in an oral cancer case - which went on to feature in a UK Dental Magazine. Additionally, she has secured several strike outs.
