Law firm Browne Jacobson has appointed specialist Higher Education (HE) partner Bettina Rigg to its national education practice where she will be the firm’s Head of Higher Education.

Browne Jacobson’s education team is consistently ranked in Band One nationally for its education sector expertise by leading independent legal directories and in 2019 won the 'Legal Advisors to Education Institutions' category at the Education Investor Awards for a record fifth time.

The team advise over 1,000 education institutions from maintained schools and academies to higher education institutions on a full range of services.

Mark Blois, partner and head of the education sector at Browne Jacobson, said:

“She is a first rate and highly knowledgeable lawyer with extensive experience in the higher education sector and is known for her collaborative approach and offering a high-quality client service, so her appointment is a perfect fit for our practice.
