Law firm Browne Jacobson has appointed specialist Higher Education (HE) partner Bettina Rigg to its national education practice where she will be the firm’s Head of Higher Education.
Law firm Browne Jacobson has appointed specialist Higher Education (HE) partner Bettina Rigg to its national education practice where she will be the firm’s Head of Higher Education.
Bettina joins the firm from VWV, where she headed up the HE team and regularly advised universities on a broad range of employment law and student related issues.
Bettina has extensive experience in a variety of complex employment law and equality, diversity and inclusion cases. This includes Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal cases and student matters where she has a national profile for advising universities on disability-related issues.
Browne Jacobson’s education team is consistently ranked in Band One nationally for its education sector expertise by leading independent legal directories and in 2019 won the 'Legal Advisors to Education Institutions' category at the Education Investor Awards for a record fifth time.
The team advise over 1,000 education institutions from maintained schools and academies to higher education institutions on a full range of services.
