Tia is a trainee solicitor in our government and infrastructure team, advising local authorities and government departments on complex legal issues including organisational change, carbon neutrality, digital transformation, regeneration, and other key societal challenges. With experience across public and private sectors, she sits on the Education Shadow Governance Board, helping shape strategic decisions and major projects alongside senior leaders to drive innovation and effective governance.
Based in the Birmingham office, Tia brings a broad perspective to her work, having started her training in the built environment, real estate team where she developed expertise in handling local authority matters and gained experience across both public and private sectors.
Her commitment to diversity and social mobility continues as a supervisor on the firm’s FAIRE mentoring programme and charity community action group, following her participation in the REACH 2024 mentoring cohort.
Prior to her training contract, Tia worked as a paralegal in the Nottingham employment team, gaining valuable experience in tribunal and litigious claims.
Tia’s role on the Education Shadow Governance Board allows her to contribute to the development of future leaders and support the delivery of impactful projects, ensuring the board benefits from a range of perspectives and fresh ideas.
