Tamsin is a commercial insurance partner, specialising in the drafting of insurance policy wordings and associated literature. She assists global carriers, Lloyds syndicates and MGAs in the design and development of wordings libraries across a wide range of business lines.

She has extensive experience preparing individual wordings, suites, library consolidation projects, thematic reviews and works with mono-line, combined/packaged products for SME/mid-market through to large risk/global and multi-national master programmes. She also advises in-house counsel and technical underwriting teams on coverage comparisons/reviews, bespoke endorsements (including in respect of complex structures), negotiated terms of renewal and real-time risk issues.

Before joining Browne Jacobson in 2026, Tamsin held a senior in-house role within Chubb Insurance SE (COG), where she was responsible for the insurer’s financial lines products across all of its regions outside North America. As such, she brings a global and strategic perspective to her advisory work. She understands first-hand the role of good governance and the route to market in complex organisations, including design and implementation of multi-jurisdictional localisation projects.

Prior to that, Tamsin was a partner at an international firm, where she established and ran a wordings team and was “Recommended” by Legal 500 as one of the market’s leading technical experts in the drafting of insurance wordings and products. She draws on a successful insurance litigation practice (with reported cases in High and appellant courts) for first-hand experience of how the Courts, arbitration panels and regulators interpret wordings and the drivers for claims teams.
