Stephanie McConnell-Stewart

Stephanie is a Trainee Solicitor in the firm’s Nottingham Office. She secured her training contract after successfully taking part in the firms REACH mentoring programme which provides mentoring for aspiring black lawyers. She hopes to one day become a mentor and continue to contribute to the diversity and inclusion.

Stephane is on a health focused trainee pathway and so has gained valuable experience across the firm’s health, advisory and litigation department. In her first seat, Stephanie assisted the clinical negligence mental health team in the defence of high-value claims at various stages of litigation. She also ran her own caseload under partner supervision.

Stephanie’s second seat was in the advisory and inquest team, where she gained experience in both Court of Protection and inquest matters. Her work included assisting the team on cases related to deprivation of liberty, safeguarding and mental capacity. She is now a Trainee in the public law health team.
