Sabahat Imtiaz

Sabahat is a Clinical Negligence Associate, specialising in defending high-value clinical negligence claims. She supports NHS Resolution with clear, practical advice, and is focused on helping them achieve fair and efficient outcomes. Clients value her approachable manner and her ability to simplify complex issues.

Sabahat manages a varied caseload of clinical negligence matters from inception to resolution, handling everything from drafting pleadings, and witness statements to liaising with medical experts and attending hearings or settlement meetings. She combines strong legal analysis with a pragmatic approach, ensuring her clients feel supported and confident throughout the process. She works closely with colleagues across the Healthcare team to deliver a consistent, high-quality service and regularly identifies opportunities to strengthen relations with the clients.

Before joining Browne Jacobson, she trained at another Defendant firm and has experience across clinical negligence, catastrophic injury, industrial disease and personal injury matters.

Outside of work, Sabahat is an elected councillor. She serves as the Chair of the Children and Young People Scrutiny Committee and as the Vice Chair of Planning and Highways Committee.
