Sabahat is an Associate, specialising in defending a broad range of clinical negligence claims. She works closely with NHS Resolution and NHS Trusts, providing clear and practical advice while building strong relationships with clients she works with.
Sabahat Has a varied caseload spanning a range of medical specialisms, including orthopaedic, gynaecological, neurological, cardiology and vascular surgery claims. She is also currently involved in a group action. She manages cases from inception through resolution, working closely with the medical experts, witnesses and counsel, and regularly attends conferences, hearings and settlement meetings. Sabahat takes a practical and considered approach to her cases, with a focus on understanding the key issues and achieving the best possible outcome for her clients.
Before joining Browne Jacobson, Sabahat trained at another defendant firm, gaining experience in clinical negligence, catastrophic injury, industrial disease and personal injury legal costs.
Sabahat was previously an elected councillor, where she served as the Chair of Children and Young People Scrutiny Committee and as a Vice Chair of the Planning and Highways Committee. Her time in the local government gave her valuable experience of working with public bodies, understanding competing priorities and communicating with people from a wide range of backgrounds – experience she continues to draw on in her work with NHS clients.
