Saara Leino

Saara specialises in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies law, providing strategic legal support across EU, UK and international frameworks. With deep regulatory and technical expertise spanning data protection enforcement, cross-border transactions and AI compliance, she supports the firm and its clients in building legally sound and operationally workable AI systems.

Saara plays an important role in shaping the firm's approach to AI adoption. She develops training and resources that build capability across teams, and works with management, lawyers and knowledge specialists to strengthen how the firm operates as a legal business. Her work ensures the firm stays aligned with technological and regulatory developments.

Previously, as a Senior Associate in a technology, data and IP team, Saara guided clients through compliance programmes and mentored lawyers on complex regulatory matters. Before private practice, Saara was a Senior Officer at a European data protection authority, handling high-impact cases and contributing to European data protection policy through EDPB Expert Subgroups. She started her career at a cybersecurity company, supporting companies with GDPR readiness in multidisciplinary teams alongside engineers and security specialists.
