Peter is a restructuring and insolvency Legal Director at Browne Jacobson, specialising in complex transactional and financial services insolvency work for office-holders, lenders, directors, and creditors.
He has led and supervised national teams on high-profile administration sales involving businesses with hundreds of employees and significant regulatory dimensions, including matters with Competition and Markets Authority involvement and FCA regulated firms. His experience spans a wide range of sectors – from financial services, food manufacturing, retail, and care homes to telecoms infrastructure and aerospace – and regularly involves cross-jurisdictional and regulatory complexity.
Peter manages teams of junior solicitors and trainees across a variety of transaction-related restructuring and insolvency matters. He regularly presents to clients as well as internally on topics relating to restructuring and insolvency.

Career progression
Peter has built over a decade of specialist restructuring and insolvency expertise across some of the UK's leading commercial law firms, including Hill Dickinson LLP, and Addleshaw Goddard LLP. Qualifying into insolvency in Manchester, he developed deep experience across administration sales, lender advisory work, contentious insolvency applications, special administrations, and cross-border insolvency — acting for insolvency practitioners, lenders, and creditors across a wide range of sectors. He joined Browne Jacobson as a Legal Director to lead the firm's restructuring and insolvency practice in the North West, bringing with him a strong regional and national network.

Supervised national team advising Joint Administrators on sale of national tile distributor (80+ stores, 300+ employees); navigated last-minute change of preferred buyer, CMA involvement, and drafting of bespoke transitional services agreement.
