Paul is a partner at Browne Jacobson and leads the firm’s Cardiff banking and finance team. Paul advises on a wide range of debt finance transactions with a particular focus on acquisitions, management buy-outs and refinancings.

He acts for banks and lenders, corporate borrowers, sponsors and private equity houses, not-for-profit organisations and public sector bodies. Clients value him for combining technical precision with commercial pragmatism, delivering clear, jargon-free advice under pressure and finding solutions that are both watertight and workable.

Paul advises on general corporate lending including acquisition finance, leveraged finance, bilateral and syndicated facilities, cross border financings, real estate and development finance, event driven financings and distressed financings. He has broad sector expertise including in retail and leisure, hospitality, healthcare, sports, industrial businesses, energy and infrastructure and financial services and investments.

Paul was admitted as a solicitor in 2007 and has worked in the South Wales market since 2011. He joined Browne Jacobson as a partner in July 2026.
