Krishna is an associate solicitor in the criminal, compliance and regulatory team, specialising in the team’s established public inquiries practice. Krishna’s work to date has covered representing insurer and public sector clients as core participants over four recent high profile public inquiries.
The most recent case she worked on required attending a full-time, in-house secondment with one of our public sector clients, following a management restructure within the client’s team. Krishna’s presence with the client assisted in keeping the work of the inquiry running and establishing a solid foundation for the continued running of the team’s involvement as a core participant when she returned to Browne Jacobson.
Prior to joining the team, Krishna worked as a civil litigation lawyer and so she is able to assist our clients with regulatory enquiries, advice or issues that fall within both a criminal and a civil litigation regime.
Krishna works with all of the sectors across the firm to provide both general and specific regulatory advice. She assisted with advising the education sector throughout the Covid-19 pandemic on a range of issues including isolation rules for clinically vulnerable staff, testing and vaccination, risk assessments and control measures.
More recently, she has focused on working closely with our education team in an advisory capacity on issues of health and safety and policy drafting, specifically for academies/schools.
