Kirsten is a dispute resolution partner based in our Belfast office. Her practice covers a broad spectrum of commercial disputes, including breach of contract/negligence cases, shareholder disputes, breach of confidence/springboard injunctions, intellectual property disputes and judicial review with a commercial slant.

She also has significant expertise in assisting corporate clients with health and safety investigations, Coronial inquests, and related criminal and civil proceedings.  

Kirsten qualified and practised in Scotland before relocating to Northern Ireland in 2008. She has practised as a dispute resolution lawyer for over 20 years. 

Kirsten was educated at the University of Edinburgh and Queen’s University, Belfast. She is qualified to act in Northern Ireland and England and Wales. 

Recent experience includes:

• Acting for an industry regulator in relation to a complex application for judicial review.
• Advising a company whose former employee had taken and utilised sensitive commercial information in breach of confidence and obtaining a novel Imaging Order allowing evidence from the Defendant’s mobile phone and laptop to be preserved.
• Acting for the purchaser of a company in a multi-million pound claim for breach of various warranties contained in the relevant Share Purchase Agreement.
• Defending a substantial claim for trade mark infringement/passing off.
• Representing the manufacturer of a pneumatic roller which was involved in a fatal accident, in both the coronial inquest and related civil proceedings.
