Katie Nichols

Katie is an Associate in our specialist multi-disciplinary division, having previously worked in the specialist maternity division. She joined the firm in September 2023 and manages a varied case load of multi-disciplinary claims on behalf of NHS Resolution and various NHS Trusts.

Prior to qualifying in 2023, Katie had a wide and varying background of experience in Defendant litigation including defending and dealing with civil actions against the Police, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Justice, local authorities, retail companies and commercial insurance companies. She is experienced in managing both pre-action and litigated cases having worked in the industry acting on behalf of Defendants since graduating from university in 2014.

Katie has developed her expertise in the field of clinical negligence since joining the firm and has handled a wide range of cases including high value complex birth injury claims, group actions, claims arising from high profile inquests, mental health cases and a range of misdiagnosis and/or delayed treatment cases. Katie is focused on achieving the best outcomes for all parties whilst recognising the sensitive and empathetic approach that is often required in the types of claims she deals with.
