Kathryn is a Principal Associated based in Nottingham, with extensive experience representing NHS Trusts in complex inquests. Renowned for her pragmatic approach and compassionate style, she delivers strategic legal advice and effective representation in high-profile, sensitive matters, helping clients navigate the challenges of health law and patient safety.

Kathryn has 11 years’ NHS in-house experience at two leading acute hospitals in the Midlands. In those roles Kathryn was the legal advisor to the Trust Board responsible for advising on a wide range of legal issues including external service reviews, inquiries and regulatory proceedings. This breadth of experience gives Kathryn a unique insight to the NHS, the pressures that exist and the importance of pragmatic and client focused legal advice.

Kathryn is a skilled advocate and approaches sensitive, high-profile inquests with compassion and emotional intelligence, often supporting clinical teams through difficult and complex legal processes. Kathryn also has a passion for improving patient safety and is skilled at advising on prevention of future death issues, drawing upon her unique in-house experience.
