Katharyn is a Senior Associate in the healthcare advisory and inquests team. A dual qualified solicitor in both Australia, and England and Wales, Katharyn has a particular specialism in inquests and has significant experience of handling matters for both public and independent sector clients.

Katharyn joined Browne Jacobson in 2023, having previously practised at a market-leading healthcare firm in Australia where she specialised in healthcare and insurance law acting for public sector and independent clients. Since relocating to the UK, Katharyn now regularly represents public and independent sector clients at inquests and has established herself as a skilled advocate with a growing practice across England and Wales.

Katharyn has significant experience representing public and independent sector clients at inquests, and in particular complex, often high-profile, Article 2 and jury inquests, including those relating to detained patients. She regularly advises in relation to governance risks associated with inquests and delivers training on inquests and record keeping to healthcare providers. Katharyn has also undertaken secondments at NHS mental health Trusts, providing direct in-house legal support across a wide variety of matters.
