Joe is a corporate associate at Browne Jacobson, specialising in mergers and acquisitions and private equity, as well as corporate reorganisations and general company law matters.

He advises founders, businesses and investors on domestic and cross-border transactions, from initial deal structuring through to completion. Joe has worked on deals across a range of sectors – including technology, renewables, professional services and healthcare – and is known for his commercial, practical approach and responsiveness.

Joe works with a diverse range of clients, including owner-managed businesses, founders, management teams and institutional investors. He handles deals from initial structuring and due diligence through to final execution.

Joe is an active advocate for technology in legal practice, working with the firm's innovation team to develop the use of AI tools.

Disposal to NYSE-listed acquirer

Acted on the disposal of an engineering business to a NYSE-listed acquirer for ~£100m.

Renewable energy sector exit

Acted on the sale of a majority stake in a renewable energy group, encompassing a leading residential solar energy subsidiary, to E.On.

PE-backed buyout

Acted for a private equity house on its £21m buyout of an SEO business serving the pharmaceutical sector.

Technology business sale

Acted on the sale of a technology business group for approximately £50m, with management rolling into the acquiring structure.

Investment into Warner’s Distillery Limited

Advised Warner's Distillery Limited (maker of Warner’s Gin) and its founders on a significant investment by La Martiniquaise.

Cyber security acquisition

Acted for an IT managed services provider on an acquisition of a cyber security business.

Sale of Glenholme Specialist Care Division to STAR Capital Partnership

Acted for the sellers on the disposal of a specialist care business providing services for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs across 22 freehold locations, with the founder rolling over alongside the incoming majority owner.

Marketing agency acquisitions

Advised MSQ Partners on two strategic acquisitions - The Forge Insight Limited and Precious Media Limited - in the creative and digital marketing sector.
