Jessica Boyer

Jessica is an associate in the Local Government and Commercial Insurance team. She specialises in insurance litigation particularly defending complex, high value employer’s liability, public liability, professional indemnity claims, abuse and social care claims. 

Jessica started Browne Jacobson as an administrative assistant and quickly worked her way up to qualified solicitor. She has a wide experience dealing with a variety of claims over the years including road traffic accidents, product liability, Animals Act claims, contract disputes, environmental claims and data breach claims.  

Jessica works closely with clients to understand their needs and is valued for her friendly but reassuring approach to handling complex and emotive claims where the risk of reputational damage could be significant. For example, Jessica is currently acting for a number of insurers and local authorities seeking recoveries from perpetrators of child abuse where the local authority has settled claims brought against them by survivors of historic abuse carried out by their employees whilst acting in the course of their employment, ensuring the abuser is ultimately held financially accountable for their actions.
