James is an associate specialising in real estate, with considerable experience working across core commercial real estate, infrastructure and the non-contentious built environment.

He has experience assisting with acquisitions and disposals of commercial development/redevelopment projects, (covering both private and public investment), landlord and tenant work (including lease renewals and management of office and retail units) and providing due diligence on real estate finance projects.

James was educated at the University of Dundee and the Institute of Professional Legal Studies at Queens University Belfast. He trained in Belfast and qualified as a Solicitor in September 2021. James practised at Charles Russell Speechlys LLP and Hill Dickinson LLP in London before relocating back to Northern Ireland in 2025.

James is qualified to practise in both Northern Ireland and England and Wales.
