Ilan is an associate in Brown Jacobson's Arbitration practice and part of our commercial dispute resolution group in London. 

He has experience at top-tier law firms in London and Tel Aviv. Ilan has represented clients in multibillion LCIA, ICC, and ICSID arbitrations, specialising in both commercial and investment disputes in a wide range of industries, including financial services, telecommunications, and food and drink. Having previously worked as a Competition Associate, Ilan has additional experience in competition disputes involving cartel prohibition and abuse of dominant position. 

Ilan holds a PhD in English Private Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where he also taught the Law of Obligations. He completed his LLM studies in International Human Rights at Northwestern University in Chicago and his LLB studies in Law and Economics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.  

Ilan completed his legal training at the Supreme Court of Israel, where he later served as a Senior Law Clerk for the Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Elyakim Rubinstein. 

Ilan is dual-qualified in England and Israel. He is fluent in English and Hebrew.

Joint venture commercial arbitration

Representing a high net worth individual in an ICC arbitration against a Swiss conglomerate arising out of the termination of a joint venture agreement. Seated in Singapore, subject to English Law.

Shareholders’ dispute in financial services

Representing a high net worth individual in multibillion, multi-jurisdictional, consolidated LCIA arbitrations.

Telecoms investment arbitration

Representing a Chinese investor in an ICSID arbitration against The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia arising out of the cancellation of a telecommunications license.
