George is a Legal Director in our commercial disputes team, based in Birmingham, specialising in complex and high-value commercial disputes. He acts for domestic and international corporates, technology businesses, NHS bodies and public sector clients across a wide range of sectors.

Having spent five years as Senior Legal Counsel in-house at a global technology business and a national student accommodation provider, George brings a genuine commercial perspective to dispute resolution. He advises clients not just as a lawyer but as someone who understands the pressures, priorities and risk appetite of business leaders from the inside.

For more than 13 years, George has advised clients on a broad range of disputes and contentious matters. His practice spans complex contractual and tortious claims, product liability, professional negligence, misrepresentation claims, breach of restrictive covenants, injunctions, and shareholder and director disputes. George holds Higher Rights of Audience (Civil), a qualification that reflects the depth of his litigation expertise and his thorough understanding of how cases are run in the higher courts.

George acts for multi-national businesses, global brands, technology companies, NHS bodies, local authorities and multi-academy trusts across a range of sectors including technology, manufacturing and automotive, education, healthcare, energy and retail. During his previous time in private practice, George was ranked as a Rising Star in the Legal 500 for two consecutive years, which is recognition that reflects the quality of advice he delivers for clients.

While working for a global technology business, George led the UK legal function and advised across multiple jurisdictions, including the United States and Australia. He sat on the UK Leadership Team, served as Company Secretary for the UK entity and worked directly with global senior leadership on matters of strategic importance. That experience gives George a practical understanding of how businesses evaluate risk and weigh commercial outcomes, making him a trusted adviser. Clients value George’s ability to focus on outcomes, delivering pragmatic solutions that are aligned with their wider commercial objectives.
